How to heic to jpg

  1. Choose your HEIC photo.
  2. Leave Convert to on JPG.
  3. Tap Convert, then download.

What is HEIC?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the format iPhones have used since iOS 11. It stores a photo in about half the space of JPG. The catch is compatibility: many upload forms, older Windows PCs and some apps don't accept it. JPG works everywhere.

Stop your iPhone saving HEIC

Go to Settings > Camera > Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos will save as JPG. Existing photos stay HEIC, so convert those here.

Is it safe to upload my photo?

Your image is never uploaded. ResizeKB processes files inside your own browser using the same technology that draws images on web pages, so the photo never leaves your phone or computer. That matters for documents like passport photos, ID scans and signatures. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool keeps working.

Frequently asked questions

Does converting HEIC to JPG lose quality?

At the default 92% quality the difference is not visible. The JPG file will be larger than the HEIC, which is normal.

Why is the first conversion slower?

The page loads a HEIC decoder the first time you use it. After that, conversions are quick.
